GBQ, a Top 100 tax, accounting, and consulting firm, has announced that Amy Studt has joined the firm as a Controller on the firm's Client Accounting & Advisory Services team. She will serve clients from GBQ’s Cincinnati office, but will advise clients nationwide.
Amy brings more than 26 years of experience to GBQ’s Client Accounting & Advisory practice. She supports clients with their day-to-day financial operations and reporting needs and works closely with business owners and internal accounting teams to streamline processes, strengthen financial controls, and provide meaningful insights that support informed decision-making.
Amy has extensive experience working with entrepreneurial and growing organizations across a variety of industries. She has a strong background in supporting businesses through all stages of growth, from early startups to more established operations, and enjoys helping clients build and refine their accounting functions over time.

Prior to joining GBQ, Amy played a key role in developing an accounting department from the ground up for a rapidly growing organization, ultimately building and leading a team of accounting professionals. In her current role, Amy provides hands-on support with financial reporting, month-end close, and operational accounting while also assisting with process improvements and training client personnel. She is known for her practical, solutions-oriented approach and her ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for clients.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. She holds QuickBooks certifications and is actively involved in the Westwood Town Hall District Business Association, where she serves as treasurer.
