GBQ, a Top 100 tax, accounting, and consulting firm, has announced that it has been named to USA TODAY’s 2026 list of America’s Most Recommended Tax & Accounting Firms, a national ranking developed in partnership with market research firm Statista. The annual list recognizes firms that receive high levels of recommendation from both industry peers and clients.
The list includes 100 tax and accounting firms across the nation. Of the firms recognized, the following Ohio firms were named:

- CBIZ
- Clark Schaefer Hackett
- Cohen & Company
- GBQ Partners
- HBK
- JP Moeller
- REA & Associates
USA TODAY and Statista compiled the list based on broad surveys conducted last summer of tax and accounting professionals and their clients nationwide. Professionals were asked to name up to ten firms they would recommend if their own firm could not take on a client. Clients were asked to name firms they would recommend based on their personal experience with professional service providers over the past three years.
Results for the rankings are determined by the total number of recommendations received from peers and clients, combined with additional firm-level data. To qualify, firms were required to meet a minimum threshold of recommendations for tax or accounting services.
According to USA TODAY, the rankings are intended to help individuals and businesses navigate a crowded and complex professional services landscape, where firm size, specialty expertise, and availability can vary widely. The full list includes separate rankings for the top 100 tax firms and the top 100 accounting firms nationwide.
