Once he outgrew racing his Mustang over hometown back roads, Tobin learned from his father the importance of reliability, respect, and a focus on his own young family. At work, Tobin thrives on the chance to guide his peers in their own career development.

Tobin joined GBQ in the fall of 2012, following graduation. He has a diverse client base serving nonprofit, service, manufacturing, restaurant, technology, and distribution industries. While his primary focus has been serving privately held, middle market companies, Tobin has significant experience working with private equity-owned clients, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC reporting engagements. He also serves as a member of GBQ's Employee Benefit Plan audit group, where he has experience managing audits for defined contribution, defined benefit and health and welfare plans.
Tobin is dedicated to the success of his firm and has led training courses and speaking engagements with a focus on new or complex accounting standards as well as financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
