The problem solver.
With three young children, two dogs, and an endless list of home improvement projects at home, we're pretty sure Steve comes to work every day for a bit of peace and quiet.
Steve fills his days at the office by solving problems, mentoring staff — and indulging in his love of technology by figuring out how to get the most of out the office software.
Steve was a 2014 recipient of GBQ's Ron Quillin Learning award. He sees each new challenge in his career as just that — an opportunity to continue the never-ending pursuit of personal and professional growth

Steve provides financial and technology assurance and consulting services across many industries, including software and technology, retail, restaurants, financial institutions and manufacturing. He is responsible for system and organization control (SOC) examinations; data analytics, business intelligence and process automation engagements; and IT audits. He also has extensive experience in financial statement and employee benefit plan audits, as well as technical accounting matters.
Steve began his public accounting career with GBQ in 2007. He understands the client side of accounting, as he spent the first two years of his career with a regional house painting company as their Corporate Accountant. Steve’s responsibilities included managing all day-to-day accounting functions and reporting, which is where he got started in business technology and process automation, reducing the need for repetitive accounting and reconciliation tasks.
Steve serves many of our larger and more complex audit clients. In addition, he has experience with public company audits, SEC reporting and internal control (SOX) testing. With extensive experience in both financial statement audit and IT audit, Steve serves as an IT Specialist to many of our audit engagement teams.
Steve specializes in complex financial data analysis, using his expertise with IDEA and Microsoft Power BI to assist with data analytics and other data-intensive projects. He is one of the firm’s internal champions of software systems and technology solutions and provides training to our associates on audit software and methodology.
In addition to the expertise he provides GBQ, Steve is active as the Treasurer for the CHA Animal Shelter of Westerville.
