Shelley knows firsthand the joy that comes from learning new things (like how to bake sourdough), the comforts of home (from Michigan to Marysville), and the blessings that come from never giving up (her two kids are a testament to that).
Being part of a team that respects each other is Shelley's favorite part of coming to work each day, along with being able to offer her clients a meaningful “why” behind each answer she gives them.

Shelley joined GBQ in 2024 following the acquisition of Lillie & Co. and Lillie Resource Group. She has worked with and for financial institutions since 2007, bringing extensive experience and a legal background to her role. After earning her Juris Doctorate from Cooley Law School and passing the Ohio Bar Exam in 2014, Shelley spent several years in private practice before returning to the financial sector. Since then, she has focused on helping credit unions develop and grow their compliance teams, leveraging her legal expertise to support their success.
In addition to her experience as a BSA Officer over the past four years, Shelley provides compliance consulting and audit services to credit union clients. Her unique combination of legal and financial knowledge allows her to deliver practical, tailored solutions that empower credit unions to navigate regulatory challenges.
