When asked about a hero, Scott immediately names his dad: he worked his long and successful career with a single company, and never sacrificed his values or his family along the way.
With three young sons and a daughter of his own and his own longstanding tenure at GBQ, Scott is well on his way to following in his father’s footsteps. He’s also a Big Brother mentor, a two-time marathoner, and brave enough to marry a Michigan fan.
Scott was a 2015 recipient of GBQ’s Ron Quillin Learning Award.

Scott began his career in public accounting with GBQ Partners in 2009 and has served clients in a variety of industries and entity structures. He provides tax compliance, planning and consulting services to closely held middle-market businesses, individuals and their families.
As the leader of the Private Client Services practice at GBQ, Scott works extensively with high-net-worth individuals, their families and closely held businesses. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Scott received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2011 and has deep expertise in the areas of multi-generational family wealth and tax planning, executive compensation and gift and estate tax planning. He also received the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS™) designation in 2016, established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for CPAs who specialize in various areas of financial planning.
Additionally, Scott is actively involved in the community. He served as Treasurer of the Financial Planning Association of Central Ohio from 2013-2015 and has also volunteered in a weekly school-based mentoring program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio.
