It might be easy to assume that Kyle — Marine, cliff jumper, girl dad — was born to “rough it.” He’ll quickly tell you: nope. He’s happy with his climate-controlled office job, where he gets to train and mentor younger associates, learn continuously about his clients’ businesses, and do what he does best: serve others.
Kyle kicked off his career as a GBQ intern; he acknowledges that, while he still aims to grow in his leadership role within the firm, his goals may have shifted some since then. Because sometimes, even leaders have to take a step back and learn how to braid a girl’s hair.

Kyle joined GBQ’s Assurance Services practice in 2015 after serving three years with EY in Washington, D.C. During his tenure at EY, he led audits for clients in multiple industries, including aerospace and defense and real estate. Kyle’s experience includes SEC reporting and requirements related to internal control over financial reporting in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act and PCAOB regulatory standards.
In 2016, Kyle took a position at NiSource for approximately three years as he obtained his MBA at The Ohio State University. During his stint outside of public accounting, Kyle served in NiSource’s transformation and I.T. demand planning groups, where he helped implement continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate the development of various financial forecasts. Kyle rejoined GBQ in 2019 and serves clients across multiple industries in the firm’s Transaction, Financial Performance & Improvement (P&I) Advisory and Assurance service lines.
In addition to supporting GBQ’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, Kyle empowers the firm’s internal growth efforts through process improvement and talent development initiatives.
Kyle attended The Ohio State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2012, majoring in Accounting. Additionally, in 2019, he obtained a Master of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance.
Before graduating with his Bachelor’s from The Ohio State University, Kyle spent four years in the United States Marine Corps. He achieved the rank of Sergeant with the 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company based in Okinawa, Japan.
