Meet Joe Chema, a history buff and outdoor enthusiast who grew up in Medina, Ohio, and now calls Columbus home. Joe’s favorite part of his job is building lasting relationships and watching clients’ businesses thrive. When he’s not helping clients transition to ESOP ownership, you’ll find him hiking, fly fishing, golfing, running, camping, or making his own wine.

    • Joe joined GBQ in 2021 and has performed or contributed to nearly 250 valuation assignments, including employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), estate and gift taxation, purchase price allocation in accordance with ASC 805, goodwill impairment testing in accordance with ASC 350, fairness opinions, transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, and other shareholder transactions.
