As the quintessential middle child, Emily has learned lessons from her big sister, and passed them down to her kid brother. A recent hike up Mt. Bierstadt in Colorado — with no (major) fights! — shows how much they're all growing up.
A former English teacher, Emily appreciates the classics; she's set a goal for herself to check out a “new old one” each time she visits her local library. She's used her background in education to transition seamlessly into her L&D role; now, like then, her favorite part of the job is the connections she makes, and the person-to-person experience.

- Emily joined GBQ in 2015, dedicating her time to resource management, coaching, and day-to-day department functions as Assurance Operations Manager. She attained knowledge and experience working with assurance associates and developing relationships to help expand opportunities for their development and growth, which she continues to be passionate about today.
A former high school and middle school teacher, Emily transitioned her career and joined GBQ’s Human Resources team in 2024, where she focuses her efforts on learning and development, continuing professional education, and talent retention. She has spent time on initiatives surrounding GBQ’s talent acquisition and development strategies, performance management processes, and employee relations.
Emily contributes to GBQ’s Community Engagement Committee through her efforts with Besa’s WISH program, United Way’s annual campaign, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
