Some people are born to crunch numbers, and others are born to play ball. Christy was lucky enough to do both. A former college basketball player, she knows that success comes from teamwork, strategy, and focus—qualities she now brings to the tax world.
Having spent her entire career at GBQ, Christy knows that taxes—like basketball—take a team approach. Whether helping clients make sense of complex tax rules or coaching colleagues on the latest strategies, she’s always ready to assist. She also works closely with our GBQ India team and travels there to provide training, proving that jet lag is no match for a love of spreadsheets and collaboration.
With a CPA for an older brother and a math teacher for a mom, you could say numbers run in the family, and Christy was born to always bring her A-game.

Christy joined GBQ in 2018 and currently provides a variety of tax services to clients, primarily passthrough entities within the real estate and financial services industries. She also has experience providing tax solutions to individuals and trusts, nonprofits and corporations.
Christy is actively involved in GBQ’s internal initiatives, participating in new-hire training. Through the firm’s support of Cristo Rey High School’s corporate work-study program, Christy has served as a mentor to participating students. She has also spent time supporting Junior Achievement’s initiatives, teaching elementary students about various business topics.
Christy is actively involved in leading our GBQ India team, including multiple on-site trainings and ongoing training throughout the year.
In 2021, Christy joined the Easterseals Central & Southeast Ohio board and currently acts as the Treasurer of the Executive Board.
