Raised with the mantra “everything happens for a reason,” Cassie takes her family's lesson to heart. It's brought her two adopted rescue dogs, an obsessive attention to detail, and once — and only once — a white water rafting trip down the Upper Gauley River.
She's fueled by the constant challenge, fast pace, and unending variety that her role with GBQ provides. After nearly 30 years in her field, she serves a multitude of industries including retail, manufacturing, distribution, and the Japanese business sector.
And for the times when reason just isn't enough…she's got a shoe for everything as well.

Cassie joined GBQ in 2013 and has nearly 30 years of tax and accounting experience. Before joining GBQ, Cassie was the Tax Director at DSW Inc., a publicly traded retail company with over $2 billion in sales. Cassie also spent nine years with KPMG in their Federal Tax group.
Cassie is uniquely positioned to assist GBQ's clients with income tax issues, having spent time in both tax consulting and internal corporate roles. She has extensive experience working with both publicly traded and privately held domestic and international companies, serving clients in the retail, manufacturing, distribution and service industries. Her experience ranges from income tax accounting, federal and multi-state tax compliance, audit defense and tax research and planning.
