From music festivals in Mexico to fishing trips in Stony Lake, Brian has never been one to shy away from adventure. Brian, the youngest of four siblings, grew up in Hilliard. As a child, his father taught him to never be complacent and to always strive to be his best. Brian received his BA in Economics and a minor in Psychology from The Ohio State University. Always working toward his next goal, he then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he received his JD with a Concentration in Tax Law. These days, you'll find him sharing his Columbus home with his girlfriend and their golden retriever Braxton, though he still makes annual trips back to Bulgaria to visit her family.

Brian plays an integral role on GBQ’s State and Local Tax team. He provides various state and local tax services, focusing primarily on multistate sales and use tax issues, sales and use tax audits, and SALT transaction advisory services.
Prior to joining GBQ, Brian was an attorney at Dickinson Wright PLLC in Columbus, OH. His practice focused on mergers, acquisitions, and business reorganizations, federal income tax matters, and IRS controversies. Before that, Brian interned at KPMG’s Columbus, OH office in the SALT department, focusing on indirect taxes.
Through analytical insight and industry knowledge, Brian delivers tailored solutions that align with our clients’ business objectives, fostering long-term partnerships and driving success in state and local taxation.
