Large Corporation Finds a New Home Outside the Big Four
A large privately held manufacturer with sales in excess of one billion dollars decides to take their tax work to GBQ, leaving a Big Four Accounting Firm because of lower fees, more attention to details in the preparation of the tax returns and additional savings identified in the State & Local tax areas.
The Challenge
A large privately held manufacturer had been using a Big Four public accounting firm for all of its tax and audit work. The company was frustrated by lack of assistance with State & Local Taxes and lack of attention to all of its tax needs. The company had been starting to seek out other Big Four firms for assistance.
The Solution
GBQ originally reviewed all of the tax returns for the Company was asked to put together a proposal for the Tax Compliance work. The Company was astonished to learn that they could save 35-40% of the money they were paying the Big Four public accounting firm by switching to GBQ. After showing that GBQ could prepare the tax returns by providing excellent work and providing the attention that the Company required, GBQ was also able to identify several large savings ideas for State & Local taxes which ended up saving the Company additional money.
