Robert M. Stutz II, AVA, ASA
DIRECTOR OF CONSULTING SERVICES


Rob graduated from Butler University with a Business Finance major and an Accounting minor. Upon graduation, Rob spent four years as a Financial Analyst and Assistant Vice President for a private investment banking and business valuation firm in Indianapolis, Indiana. He returned to Columbus, Ohio to manage the valuation department of a regional CPA firm. In 2000 he joined GBQ Partners LLC (a BDO Seidman Alliance Firm) as the Director of Valuation Services. GBQ's valuation department has grown to be one of the largest in Ohio and issues over one hundred reports each year.

Rob's entire career has been dedicated to the successful completion of business valuation projects. Rob (and the GBQ valuation team) strive to combine both integrity and consistency in each and every valuation project. Presently, Rob reviews and manages valuation assignments on a full-time basis for estate and gift tax planning, conversion from C corporation to S corporation status, ESOPs, domestic and tax litigation, merger and acquisition, buy-sell agreements, and divestures.

Rob's experience includes business appraisals of entities in the following industries: manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, retail, construction, advertising/marketing, food service, industrial dry cleaning, real estate, and holding company/estate planning vehicles. The majority of his appraisal experience has been in the Mid-West states, including Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Michigan.

Rob has earned his AVA, ASA and CM&A certifications. He is active with the ESOP Association (both local and national), the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the American Society of Appraisers.
