Since our inception, one of our core values has been to be deeply involved in giving back to our community. We strive to provide an environment that encourages cooperation, life balance, and giving back to the community in which we live and work.
We believe in the importance of giving back to the community and making a difference in the lives of others. In 2008-2009 the firm and our associates contributed considerable time and money to over 40 non-profit organizations. Some of the recipients included:

With 8 teams, GBQ raised $2,670 in the Accounting Firm Challenge and had a blast along the way.

Each fall GBQ participates in the Lunch Money for a Day campaign to help the Children’s Hunger Alliance make sure no child has to go without a meal.

On September 15th. GBQ participated in United Way’s Community Care Day. The event has become Central Ohio’s largest one-day volunteer outreach event, with more than that 5,000 volunteers from over 200 companies participating last year.

Believing in the importance of family-owned businesses to our Central Ohio community, GBQ has supported the Conway Family Business Center over the past 10 years.

In 2007 GBQ associates gave up their tradition of a Thanksgiving Ham in order to donate the money spent to feed families in need.

For over 15 years GBQ associates have donated time & money to purchase Christmas gifts for less fortunate children in Central Ohio.

In 2009 GBQ donated over 1,350 school supplies to the Homeless Families Foundation of Columbus.

The Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

Since joining the program in August 2006, GBQ has delivered over 5,000 meals, involved 30+ associates and volunteered over 800 hours delivering meals-on-wheels for LifeCare Alliance.

GBQ has been a key sponsor to Make-A-Wish of Central Ohio's “Big Wish” silent auction dinner and other events throughout the years.

As we approached Christmas and the community food bank was in need of food due to a shortage; GBQ associates stepped up and held an impromptu canned food drive.

GBQ associates have been involved in the OSCPA Accounting for Kids Program since its inception in 2001.

In 2002 GBQ began a campaign to collect pop tabs to benefit the families of the Ronald McDonald House. Pop tabs may be small...but they can make a big difference.
